9 Thane police constables suspended over jail escort lapses

Nine police constables in Thane were suspended following a surprise inspection at the Civic Hospital in Kalwa. The Deputy Commissioner of Police discovered serious lapses in protocol while prisoners were being escorted from Thane Central Jail for medical check-ups.
