Central Railway unveils prototype of door-closing system for Mumbai local trains

Central Railway has developed a prototype non-AC coach with automatic doors, roof-mounted ventilation, and vestibules following the Mumbra tragedy. The design was finalised by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and is currently under trial at the Kurla carshed to assess safety and performance during runs.
