Should we allow bogus votes, CEC Gyanesh Kumar asks opposition

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar defended the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SIR) of Bihar's electoral rolls amidst opposition criticism, questioning whether the EC should permit fraudulent votes. The EC reported 61.1 lakh electors in Bihar as 'not found,' including deceased, migrated, or duplicate voters. With 99% of electors covered and forms being digitized, the draft roll will be published on August 1 for review.
