Wipro to pay 2 lakh to ex-staffer for ‘defamatory’ relieving letter

Delhi High Court instructed Wipro to pay Rupees Two Lakh to an ex-employee. This was due to defamatory comments in the relieving letter. The court ordered Wipro to issue a new letter without the damaging statements. The original letter contained malicious remarks about the employee's conduct. The court emphasized that the remarks would harm the employee's career.
