Juvenile age to be cut to 16 in narcotics cases: Maharastra CM Devendra Fadnavis; Centre asked to ease deportation of foreign peddlers

Maharashtra is considering lowering the juvenile age to 16 in drug cases to combat minors' exploitation in narcotics peddling. The government plans to amend laws and invoke MCOCA against repeat offenders. CM Fadnavis also addressed foreign nationals' involvement in the drug trade and announced free electricity for low-consumption households via rooftop solar panels.
