IMD issues red alert for Pune Ghats, orange alert across coastal and ghat areas

The IMD has issued a red alert for the ghats of Pune, indicating the likelihood of extremely heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, an orange alert has been declared for Thane, the ghats of Satara, Sindhudurg, Raigad, and Ratnagiri, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in these regions
