Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan criticized 'fake secularists' for targeting Hinduism at a Lord Murugan devotees conference in Madurai. He urged 'Hindu unity' and protection of Hindu rights, while a resolution called for demonstrating Hindu vote bank strength in the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly election. The conference also demanded DMK stop treating temples as revenue sources.
