Thunderstorms, duststorms sweep through Delhi-NCR bringing relief from heat

IndiaTimes Sunday, 1 June 2025
Delhi-NCR experienced a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and dust storm, offering respite from the heat. While the maximum temperature was near average, rainfall in May has significantly increased since 1901, making it the wettest May on record. Experts attribute these changes to increased thunderstorms, higher moisture levels, and global warming, despite average temperatures remaining consistent.
