Lawyer, held guilty of abducting doctor & acquitted of murder, released on remission after 19 years in Maharashtra jail

Leena Deosthale, 65, convicted of abducting Dr. Deepak Mahajan, has been released from Yerawada Central Prison after 19 years, following a remission grant. While acquitted of murder, she served time for the abduction. Her daughter, Deepti, also imprisoned in the case, has a remission plea pending.
