Uttarakhand BJP MLA, his niece get 6 months in jail for ‘wrongful confinement’, false dowry case

BJP MLA Adesh Chauhan and his niece Dipika Singh have been sentenced to six months in jail by a CBI court for the wrongful confinement of Singh's father-in-law in 2009. They were also found guilty of filing a false dowry harassment case against him. Three police officers were also convicted for their involvement in the incident.
