Assam MLA Aminul Islam detained under NSA for ‘defending’ Pakistan

AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam was detained under the National Security Act in Assam for allegedly defending Pakistan and linking the Pahalgam terror attack to a government conspiracy. He was initially arrested on treason charges, granted bail, and then immediately re-detained under the NSA. Chief Minister Sarma cited the MLA's provocative speech and inflammatory claims as the reason for the detention.
