Ghulam Hassan and other villagers recalled the brutal shelling of the past, seeking refuge in bunkers while hoping for lasting peace.
Tensions soared along the LoC as Pakistani forces shelled villages in Jammu and Kashmir, killing many—among them a woman and two children—and injuring several others. Poonch district faced the brunt of the assault. The attack follows Indian missile strikes on terror camps, sparking retaliation from across the border. Ten were also injured in Uri. The Indian Army responded strongly to the ceasefire violations, which mark a dramatic escalation.
