Security drill across 10 districts in Maharashtra today: ‘Air raid’ sirens, blackout in MMR amid war-readiness exercise

Amidst heightened tensions with Pakistan, Mumbai and other districts in Maharashtra will conduct a state-wide mock security drill today. Air raid sirens will sound across 60 areas in MMR at 4 pm, followed by brief power outages. The exercise aims to assess preparedness for war-like situations, involving civil defence volunteers, police, and paramedics.
