Bengaluru police have sparked controversy by booking Lokesh Gowda, who exposed a sexual harassment incident by uploading a CCTV video on social media. Despite his good intentions to alert the public and aid in the capture of the perpetrator, police charged him under the IT Act after the victim complained about the unauthorized sharing of the video, raising concerns about discouraging future whistleblowers.
