With two ends of Silkyara set to meet this week, excavation work for tunnel project to be complete

After months of setbacks following a collapse in November 2023, the Silkyara tunnel project in Uttarakhand is set to achieve a breakthrough on Wednesday. Excavation will be completed, paving the way for the 4.5 km tunnel to be operational within a year. Despite a probe revealing negligence, the government has decided to proceed with the Char Dham Road connectivity project.
