India, Nepal step up fight against border smuggling and fake currency
Sunday, 13 April 2025 India and Nepal met to discuss customs cooperation. They want to stop smuggling and other crimes across the border. Both countries are worried about gold, drugs, and fake money. They will share information and work together. They also talked about using technology to track goods and improve trade. Abhai Kumar Srivastav and Mahesh Bhattarai led the discussions.
World leaders mourn the horrific crash of Air India Flight AI-171, which killed 240 of the 242 onboard shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad. The international flight to London carried citizens from India, the UK, Portugal, and Canada. King Charles III, UK PM Keir Starmer, EU’s Ursula von der Leyen, and leaders from Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, and Nepal have extended condolences.
