Doctors protest suspension of Hisar deputy civil surgeon, OPD services disrupted for two hours
Saturday, 12 April 2025 () Haryana's medical services faced disruption as doctors protested the suspension of Dr. Prabhu Dayal, Hisar's deputy civil surgeon, following a sting operation alleging involvement in illegal fetal sex determination. The Haryana Civil Medical Service (HCMS) members wore black badges and shut down OPDs for two hours.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party in Hisar, Haryana, accusing it of spreading the "virus of vote bank politics" by opposing the amended Waqf Act. Modi alleged that Congress continues to treat SC/ST communities as second-class citizens and said the party is working against Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision of equality.
