Delhi airport may see flight delays for 4 month as one runway is closed
Wednesday, 9 April 2025 () Delhi Airport’s main runway (28/10) has been closed from April 8 until the end of July for an upgrade to its Instrument Landing System (ILS) to enable CAT III operations for low-visibility landings in winter. During this period, flight delays may occur, especially when easterly winds are blowing, limiting arrivals to a single runway (11R). This could lead to cascading delays across multiple flights, with airlines like IndiGo advising passengers to monitor flight status.
