New AI model with synthetic images boosts mixed reality object detection: IISc
Wednesday, 9 April 2025 () Researchers at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have pioneered a solution for AI training in Mixed Reality (MR) industrial applications. Overcoming the challenge of extensive image dataset requirements, they've demonstrated that diffusion models can generate synthetic images. This innovative approach significantly enhances object detection accuracy while reducing reliance on real-world images.
Natasha Lyonne is set to make her feature directorial debut with a film that will make abundant use of A.I. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the film titled 'Uncanny Valley' will be set in the world of immersive video games and utilize A.I. Lyonne is working on the project with Brit Marling, and they've teamed up with longtime technology innovator (and sometime-skeptic) Jaron Lanier.
