Karnataka pulls out affidavit in DKS support from SC

In a surprising move, the Karnataka government withdrew its affidavit defending the decision to revoke consent for a CBI probe into deputy CM D K Shivakumar’s alleged disproportionate assets. The state aims to file a stronger affidavit. The previous government’s approval for a CBI investigation was deemed illegal due to inadequate supporting material and concerns over state police competence.
