Kannada actress Ranya Rao admitted to sending money through hawala, as revealed by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in court. The case involves allegations of gold smuggling, with Ranya found carrying 14.2 kg of gold at Bengaluru’s airport. The Karnataka government appointed Gaurav Gupta to investigate the possible involvement of her stepfather, Ramachandra Rao.
