Centre notifies 24% hike in salaries, pensions for MPs

The central government has increased the salaries, allowances, and pensions of MPs and former MPs by 24% effective April 1, 2023. MPs will now earn Rs 1.24 lakh per month, with daily allowances and pensions for former MPs also being raised. This marks the first revision since 2018, aligning with the Cost Inflation Index.
