Toll collected on Gurgaon-Jaipur highway 50% more than cost incurred to build, maintain it

IndiaTimes Friday, 21 March 2025
Commuters have paid nearly 50% more in toll fees for the Gurgaon-Jaipur NH-48 stretch since April 2009 compared to the construction and maintenance costs. For the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway, the toll collected since January 2003 exceeds the incurred costs by around 9%. The excess toll revenue does not fully account for significant investments in land acquisition.
