6 dead, 16 injured: Why are workers dying of shock in Tamil Nadu?

At least six contractual and field workers of Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd died of electrocution, and 16 others were injured in the last two months due to inadequate safety measures. Safety lapses were attributed to a shortage of manpower, outsourcing, and inadequate supervision.
