Chief Justice T.S. Sivagnanam recused himself from hearing a PIL against former Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Kumar Goyal over the R.G. Kar Hospital junior doctor's rape and murder case. The PIL sought action for the alleged revelation of the victim's identity by Goyal.
