Services tops medal tally at 38th National Games, fifth time in last six editions
Friday, 14 February 2025 Services dominated the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand, topping the medal tally with 121 medals (68 gold). Maharashtra secured second place with 198 medals but fewer golds, while Haryana finished third. The Games saw intense competition across various sports, including hockey, gymnastics, table tennis, and shooting. Haryana won women’s hockey gold, Karnataka triumphed in men’s hockey, and Maharashtra led in gymnastics. Odisha and Uttarakhand excelled in kayaking and canoeing. The Games concluded with a grand ceremony in Haldwani, attended by union home minister Amit Shah.
