Uttarakhand cabinet led by CM Dhami approves UCC manual

The Uttarakhand government, led by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, has approved the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) manual, staying true to their 2022 electoral promise. Following legislative approval and presidential assent, the state is set to be first in India to implement the UCC covering marriage, divorce, and inheritance laws.
