Monday, 13 January 2025 The two-lane bi-directional road tunnel between Gagangir and Sonamarg in Ganderbal district in central Kashmir has been built at a cost of over Rs 2,700 crore.
Speaking at a public rally in Kashi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Operation Sindoor sent a strong message to the world—that those who target India will not escape, even if they hide underground. He criticised the Opposition for raising doubts about the mission’s intent and outcome. PM Modi also praised Uttar Pradesh's rising stature in India’s defence sector, announcing that BrahMos missiles will soon be manufactured in Lucknow.
