HC nixes central, Karnataka rules on green energy generation & purchase

Karnataka High Court invalidated Centre and Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission rules on green energy citing conflicting with the Electricity Act-2003. The court emphasized Parliament's authority under the Constitution but reminded that new laws cannot override existing ones. The state regulator has been asked to consider annual banking facilities for green energy generating companies.
