Judge faces arrest for demanding Rs 5 lakh to give bail

A Maharashtra district judge, along with three accomplices, is facing bribery charges for allegedly demanding ₹5 lakh from a woman in exchange for granting bail to her father in a financial fraud case. The Anti-Corruption Bureau has filed an FIR and is seeking permission from the Bombay High Court to arrest the judge after the woman reported the bribe solicitation.
