J&K cop shoots dead colleague after tiff, then kills himself
Sunday, 8 December 2024 Two policemen were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a police van in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday morning. A head constable allegedly shot his colleague with an AK-47 rifle following an argument before taking his own life. A third officer in the vehicle survived the incident and is being questioned by authorities.
Pakistan has launched a series of attacks using drones, missiles, and jets on over 26 sites, including Indian airbases and civilian areas. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh confirmed strikes on Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, Bathinda, and health facilities in Punjab early this morning. In response, India conducted a precision strike on Pakistan's Sialkot airbase, according to Wing Commander Vyomika Singh. As Pakistani troop movements signal potential escalation, India remains on high alert, committed to avoiding further conflict—provided Pakistan reciprocates with de-escalation.
