PMO announces ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for kin of Kannauj bus accident victims

Eight lives were lost and 40 injured when a Lucknow-Delhi bus collided with a tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister announced ₹2 lakh ex-gratia for deceased families and Rs 50,000 for the injured. Survivors allege driver fatigue caused the crash. A minister passing by oversaw rescue efforts and an investigation is underway.
