Friday, 6 December 2024 Devendra Fadnavis's swearing-in as Maharashtra CM was delayed due to Eknath Shinde's reluctance to be sworn in as Deputy CM. Shinde wanted assurances on portfolio allocation. After persuasion, Shinde agreed, and Fadnavis informed the Governor. The oath-taking ceremony proceeded as planned, with both Fadnavis and Shinde taking their oaths.

Rahul Gandhi has once again resorted to Election Fraud Claims to cast doubt on India's electoral system. From raising questions on EVMs to now alleging "match-fixing" in Maharashtra, his narrative of Election Fraud Claims has no evidence. Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and JP Nadda have all slammed these Election Fraud Claims, calling them an insult to the people’s verdict. The Election Commission, too, has dismissed these charges as unfounded and misleading. Repeating Election Fraud Claims after every defeat weakens democracy and insults honest voters. It's time to reject fake narratives and trust the electoral process.
