The 2024 Assembly elections highlight the BJP and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction)’s control, winning five of six seats. Eknath Shinde's leadership, grassroots appeal, and development focus have bolstered voter confidence. Key victories include Narendra Mehta (Mira Bhayandar), Pratap Sarnaik (Ovala-Majiwada), Eknath Shinde (Kopri-Pachpakhadi), Sanjay Kelkar (Thane), and Ganesh Naik (Airoli). The NCP narrowly leads in Belapur, marking the alliance’s sole challenge. These results solidify the Mahayuti’s political influence in Thane, a critical region for Maharashtra’s governance and development.
