Stones & sticks fly as Sena factions clash in Mumbai
Wednesday, 13 November 2024 Supporters of the Shiv Sena and the Shiv Sena (UBT) clashed violently outside Matoshree Club in Mumbai on Tuesday night. Seventeen years after the deadly 2008 Malegaon blast rocked Maharashtra, a special NIA court in Mumbai has acquitted all seven accused — including BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur and Lt Col Prasad Purohit — citing lack of concrete evidence. The judgment came just one day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah told the Rajya Sabha that "no Hindu can ever be a terrorist." The court emphasized that terrorism has no religion and that justice cannot be based on public perception or moral bias.
