Jawan hurt in gunfight as militants open fire on farmers

Militants launched attacks in Manipur, targeting farmers in Imphal East and homes in Jiribam. A soldier was wounded in a gunfight with militants who attacked farmers with rocket-propelled grenades. This follows the alleged rape and murder of a woman and the fatal shooting of another in a paddy field. Security forces seized weapons during operations in various locations.
