Rajasthan moves SC to prevent closure of 23,000 mines

The Rajasthan government has appealed to the Supreme Court to prevent the closure of approximately 23,000 mines. The closure, ordered by the National Green Tribunal, is due to a lack of reappraisal by state environmental authorities.
