Records smashed as Olive Ridleys put 45 thousand eggs in Goa basket

Olive Ridley turtles have laid an unprecedented 45,493 eggs on Goa's beaches this season, breaking past records. The state forest department's conservation initiatives are credited for this surge. Despite some challenges in hatching rates, Agonda and Morjim beaches stood out with significant contributions of hatchlings making it to the ocean.
