IAF officer files rape complaint with cops against Wing Commander
Tuesday, 10 September 2024 An IAF officer has filed a police complaint against a senior, alleging rape and continuous mental harassment at Srinagar Air Force station. She alleged that the accused, a Wing Commander, called her to his room after a new year party at the officers' mess on Dec 31 last year on the pretext of her not having received the gift being distributed at the function.

An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar fighter jet crashed in Panchkula, Haryana, after taking off from Ambala airbase for a routine training sortie. The pilot ejected safely before the crash, maneuvering the aircraft away from inhabited areas. The IAF confirmed that the crash was caused by a system malfunction. No casualties or injuries have been reported. Authorities have ordered a Court of Inquiry to investigate the incident.
