Several held in Gujarat after stone pelting at idol & protest at thana

Surat city police arrested 27 people for protesting and stone-pelting outside Saiyedpura police chowky after six boys were detained for allegedly throwing stones at a Ganesha idol. The incident escalated into communal tension, resulting in minor injuries to police personnel and vehicle arson near Katargam Darwaja. Further arrests are expected.
