Mysterious 'fever' kills 12 in 4 days in Gujarat

Following heavy rain and flooding, twelve deaths from an undiagnosed fever in six villages of Lakhpat taluka, Kutch, have been reported. The fatalities occurred between September 3 and 9 among animal rearers. Additional healthcare resources have been dispatched to investigate the cause, with special health teams and rapid response units deployed.
