Election commission junks report of tampering at Mumbai booth

With allegations of unauthorised EVM access intensifying, the Mumbai Suburban Returning Officer (RO) issued a rebuttal on Sunday and notices to publications that carried reports on the use of a phone by a polling agent in the Mumbai North-West Lok Sabha constituency. The RO, Vandana Suryavanshi, clarified that EVMs are standalone devices without wired connectivity and need no OTPs on mobile phones for unlocking.
