Low-pressure area over Bay of Bengal around May 22, forecasts IMD

IMD has warned about the formation of a low-pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal around May 22. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, DG of meteorology, said: "The low-pressure area will help monsoon advance over Andaman Sea and adjoining Bay of Bengal... It is too early to confirm whether or not it will transform into a cyclone."
