US Vice President JD Vance landed in Delhi on Monday, accompanied by Second Lady Usha Vance and their three children, for his maiden official visit to India. The visit begins with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at Palam Airport. With bilateral trade at $190 billion and targets of $500 billion, the visit holds economic significance amid high-stakes negotiations. The Vance family will also travel to Jaipur and Agra. The trip offers both nations a chance to build on strategic progress since PM Modi’s US visit in February 2025, according to India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
