Iran frees five Indian crew members from Portuguese ship seized in Gulf

On Thursday, Iran released seven crew members, five of whom were Indian, from a Portuguese-flagged vessel, the MSC Aries, which had been seized in the Gulf on April 13. Portugal's foreign ministry confirmed the release. The ship initially had 25 crew members, and with this release, seven have been freed, including one Filipino and one Estonian, along with the five Indians. Prior to this event, one Indian crew member had already been released.
