Court takes cognisance of chargesheet against NewsClick & its founder

A court in Delhi acknowledged on Tuesday the chargesheet that was filed against the news portal NewsClick and its founder-editor, Prabir Purkayastha, under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, or UAPA. The court of Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur acknowledged the chargesheet and scheduled the matter for arguments on charges and scrutiny of documents on May 31.
