Government accused of 'stark' contradiction over position on Gaza genocide allegations
Monday, 30 June 2025 () The government has won a long-running legal challenge about its decision to continue allowing the sale of spare parts for F-35 fighter jets to Israel, while suspending other arms licences over concerns about international humanitarian law in Gaza.
Israel has launched a wave of air strikes across Gaza, with northern Gaza City now a primary target following evacuation warnings from the Israeli military. At least 80 Palestinians have been killed since dawn, with dozens more wounded. Among the attacks was a strike on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah, raising fears of an impending and intensified ground offensive. The strikes come amid growing international concern over escalating civilian casualties and the targeting of critical infrastructure in one of the region’s most densely populated areas.
