Chancellor announces new winter fuel eligibility for pensioners
Monday, 9 June 2025 () Winter fuel payments will extend to everyone over the state pension age with an income of or below £35,000 a year, Chancellor Rachel Reeves has announced.
Pensioners with an annual income of £35,000 or less will have their winter fuel payments restored this winter, it has been announced, as the government laid out details of their u-turn following weeks of speculation.
