Wednesday, 7 August 2024 Manchester City star Rodri and his Spain teammate and captain Alvaro Morata have been banned for one match by UEFA for chanting "Gibraltar is Spanish" as they celebrated winning Euro 2024.

The UK has agreed a deal with the EU for a fluid Gibraltar-Spain border, avoiding checks on people crossing. Gibraltar and Spanish officials will carry out joint checks at the airport, while goods will move freely across the land border.
