Sunny starrer 'Border 2' to have cast reveal event

Since last year, reports have surfaced about a sequel to the 1997 film Border, with Sunny Deol reprising his role. The announcement video, released in June, generated significant excitement, featuring Deol's voiceover and a recreated version of the iconic song ‘Sandese Aate Hai’. The video also revealed that Border 2 will be 'India’s biggest war film,' heightening anticipation. The sequel is produced by JP Dutta, his daughter Nidhi Dutta, and her husband Binnoy K. Gandhi. In an interview, Binnoy shared insights about Border 2, expressing his initial awe at the script, which he later learned was written by Nidhi Dutta. The team will begin shooting in November. Speculation about the cast has included names like Ayushmann Khurrana and Diljit Dosanjh. Binnoy Gandhi announced that the confirmed cast will be revealed soon, with a grand event planned to introduce the actors in their character styles. Border 2 will be directed by Anurag Singh, known for his work on Kesari.
